Marcia Finlayson is a Canadian researcher and educator. Her research seeks to generate knowledge that informs health and rehabilitation care and enables people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) to lead healthy, meaningful lives, and exert choice and control over their participation in daily activities at home and in the community, particularly as they age. Her research includes three streams: (1) developing, implementing and evaluating self-management programs, (2) examining access to and utilization of health, rehabilitation and wellness services, and (3) reducing disparities in rehabilitation outcomes. In the context of Dr. Finlayson’s research, people affected by MS include individuals with the disease and their family caregivers
