Professor Kang, a PhD in Nursing and certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, has over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and research. She currently serves as the Dean and a Professor at Dong-A University College of Nursing in Busan, South Korea. Her work focuses on person-centered care in the intensive care unit (ICU), and she has developed a post-intensive care syndrome (PICS) questionnaire to assess long-term outcomes in critically ill patients. Professor Kang has led or is currently leading several research projects, including cohorts on ICU survivors, ICU sleep and delirium, and early ICU rehabilitation. She is also actively exploring digital therapeutic interventions for ICU patients and survivors
