Dr. Dorcas Gandhi is the Vice Principal and Professor at the College of Physiotherapy, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. With extensive experience in neurophysiotherapy, she has a proven track record in rehabilitating patients with neurological illnesses and providing academic training and leadership. She holds a Stroke Rehabilitation Research Fellowship from DBT India Alliance/Wellcome Trust and is currently pursuing her PhD at the Manipal Academy of Health Sciences, India, focusing on developing contextualized clinical practice guidelines for post-stroke rehabilitation in India. Her research interests include low-cost models for stroke rehabilitation, tele-stroke rehabilitation, and co-designed rehabilitation approaches. Dorcas is also a National Clinical Administrator for the ATTEND trial in India and serves as an intervention expert for the AVERT-Dose trial. She has received numerous accolades, including multiple awards from the European Stroke Organization, the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, and the World Stroke Organization.
