Professor Anba Soopramanien is a  Consultant in Spinal Injuries and  Rehabilitation Medicine with over 30 years of  experience in neurological rehabilitation,  medico-legal work, and telemedicine. His  career has spanned multiple countries,  including France, the UK, Pakistan/  Afghanistan, Romania, and Mauritius, where  he has contributed to the development of  spinal injury rehabilitation programmes. He  has worked with the International Committee  of the Red Cross (supporting Afghan  refugees in Pakistan) and the International  Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent  Movement in Romania. Currently, he is  actively engaged with the Mauritian Ministry  of Health and Quality of Life, helping enhance  neurological rehabilitation services. Prof.  Soopramanien has also played a pivotal role  in telemedicine, advocating for its integration  into healthcare systems, including the NHS.  A dedicated researcher and educator, he has  published scientific papers, contributed to  book chapters, and produced award-winning  films to promote awareness about spinal  injuries and rehabilitation.
