Relevant Professional Skills/Experiences

Dr. Solari’s main area of research is the validation of instruments and outcome measures (chiefly patient-reported outcome measures, PROMs) for clinical, epidemiologic, and quality of care studies in neurological diseases. Dr. Solari’s team has designed 4 PROMS from scratch and validated the Italian version or harmonized 8 additional PROMS between different languages/cultures. Her other main interest is the design and conduction of clinical trials on rare diseases and complex interventions. Chief or co-chief investigator of 7 multicenter trials, including the first published RCT on motor rehabilitation in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Chair of the EAN/EAPC Guideline on Palliative Care of People with Severe MS; Co-chair of the Italian Consensus and Recommendations on Diagnosis and Treatment of Low-grade Gliomas and of the Consensus on Chiari 1 Malformation; Panelist of the Italian Consensus on Treatment of Spasticity in MS
