Experience in Neurological Rehabilitation for more than 30 years with a special interest in cognitive and motor recovery both clinically and from a research perspective. Participation and initiation of clinical and functional imaging studies to investigate the corresponding physiology and modes of recovery from stroke in Düsseldorf/Jülich D); Meerbusch (D) and London (UK). Participation in guideline development in Germany (relevance of imaging techniques for planing of stroke programs (DGNR); recovery of mobility after stroke (DGNR); stroke aftercare guidelines for General Practitioners) and internationally (Recovery of Mobility, Clinical Pathways in Stroke Rehabilitation, WFNR). Currently, I am working as a neurologist in a department of psychosomatic rehabilitation with a special emphasis on the role of
