Dr. Joosup Kim (BMedSci honours, BEco, PhD) is a research fellow at the Translational Public Health Division, Stroke and Ageing Research Group, Monash University. His research interests include data linkage, clinical trials and economic evaluation, and has published over 120 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He is an analyst for the Australian Stroke Clinical Registry (AuSCR) and related projects such as the Stroke123 study and PRECISE Recently, he has completed a high impact national cost-of-illness study commissioned by the Stroke Foundation. As part of this, he has used decision analytic modelling of healthcare costs and productivity impacts over a lifetime after stroke, and evaluated the costs and benefits of improving prevention and treatment of stroke. His work has influenced national stroke care policies and practices, especially in data linkage and health services research.
