He completed his Master’s degree specializing in neurological physiotherapy in 2003 and a PhD on ‘Virtual reality training for incoordination’ from MAHE in 2010. His research focus is on strategies to improve motor recovery after stroke. He has four international and six Indian-funded projects to his credit, including multiple joint projects on state of art technology based interventions. He is a member of various international working groups on stroke rehabilitation and has been actively involved in developing stroke rehabilitation strategies for Low income countries.  He is an Executive Board member of the International Stroke Rehabilitation and Research Alliance (ISRRA). He was one of the reviewers of the WHO Package of Interventions of Stroke Rehabilitation. He is a task force member of IFNR and also a Member of the Stroke guideline development group of the European Stroke Organization for Motor Rehabilitation after a stroke.

24 years of Stroke rehabilitation clinical expertise. He has been leading the interdisciplinary team for stroke rehabilitation research since 2016. He has conducted. Relevant Career Highlights

Completed the Public Health Research initiative fellowship on Physical activity program for stroke survivors. He is papers were awarded the  Dr. TMA Pai Gold medal for outstanding Research paper in 2022 and 2023.  He has 75 scopus indexed publications to his credit with a H-index of 15.
