Dr. Thembi Katangwe-Chirwa is a peadiatric neurologist and a researcher with an interest in Paediatric Cerebral Palsy (CP). Currently completing her PhD in CP, she is also leading the Malawi CP Register Project under The Global
LMICs CP Register. This register is driving efforts to improve detection, surveillance, and care for children living with CP in Malawi. She also serves in the Global LMICs CP Register technical working group as well as its early detection and intervention working group. In addition to her research, she serves as an honorary lecturer at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences. Dr. Katangwe-Chirwa’s work is pivotal in advancing CP research, care, and policy, ultimately improving the lives of children living with CP and their families in LMICs.
